Details

The oldest Ballindalloch ever and the only bottle to date from cask number 3, the cask was selected by Guy Macpherson-Grant.

Piece designed and hand engraved by local Moray “Artist in Glass” Giles Lawson-Johnston.

This One of One piece has been brought to life by the artistry of local Moray “Artist in Glass” Giles Lawson-Johnston, the son of Andrew Lawson Johnston—who held the prestigious Royal Warrant for Artist in Glass. It was Andrew who acquired the precious crystal cullet in the 1960s, engraving pieces for Ballindalloch’s private collection. Today, his son continues this legacy, breathing life into the art with the same passion and precision.

This is a true collector's treasure, an irreplaceable work of art that could never be reproduced. The antique crystal cullet is rare and its value only grows with time. Not only is this piece an investment in art, but also a tangible connection to the heritage of one of the finest whisky estates in Scotland.

The sun shaped bottle filled with red wine barrique finish Ballindalloch represents the morning sun and rests with the purple crystal cullet representing Ben Rinnes above the distillery.

The antique crystal cullet, sourced by the designer’s father from one of Britain’s most storied glassblowers before it closed its doors over 60 years ago, represents the pinnacle of sustainability and recycling. The same cullet, carefully moulded into both the art itself and supporting the accompanying whisky bottle, brings a new life to something so steeped in history.

The Ballindalloch Single Malt matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and finished for 3 years in a red wine barrique exemplifies the versatility of the Ballindalloch spirit.

Honeyed and abundantly fruity Single Malt in a classic Speyside style.

Cask filled 25 September 2014.

Bottled at cask strength of 58.8% vol on 1st July 2025.

Bottle size 70cl.
