Details

Teaninich 51‑Year‑Old, bottled under Hunter Laing’s Old & Rare brand and distilled in 1973, is a unique one‑of‑one release presented in a crystal decanter and bespoke wooden display case. Bottled at natural cask strength (50.4% ABV) exclusively for the Distillers One of One 2025 auction, this singular expression showcases over half a century of patient maturation and craft.

Tasting Notes

A richly gold‑coloured whisky that has a sweet nose of fresh tulips, orange zest, and gentle Christmas spices. The palate is full‑bodied and viscous, layered with flavours of apple crumble, honeycomb, and dark chocolate leading into a long and lingering finish, with dry oak and cracked black pepper.

We were delighted to delve into our whisky vaults and select this exceptional cask for such a worthy cause. We have elevated our prestigious Old & Rare presentation to truly make this donation a one of a kind. We feel this unique packaging befits a malt of this stature. This cask has remained untouched throughout its 51 years of maturation, the coopering craftmanship was clearly exceptional and has nurtured this cask through its lifetime to still stand at 50.4%.
